confidence is the outcome
of taking action

"Midlife has a way of asking the questions you’ve been putting off for years. Who am I now? What do I actually want? I’m here to help you work out the answers and back yourself to go after them."

"You have what it takes. You just have to be willing to do it scared."

Questions about confidence coaching with Kylie?

What payment options do you offer?

I want money to be the easy part of the decision, so I keep it simple. You can pay upfront or spread the cost with a payment plan, and I accept credit cards, debit cards and bank transfers.

The price for each group program is on its page. VIP Private Coaching is tailored to you, so the price depends on what we build together. Send me a message and we’ll chat about what works for your budget. (I coach financial confidence for a living, so I’m not shy about talking money.)

Wat is group coaching?

Group coaching is a small group of women, all asking the same quiet questions about what comes next, working through the Big Girl Pants Confidence Model together. Group programs run from 12 weeks to 6 months, and the length of each one is shown on its page.

You get live coaching sessions with me, plus text and message support between sessions, so you’re not left on your own when a wobble hits on a Tuesday night. Women support women, and there’s something powerful about hearing your own thoughts come out of someone else’s mouth and realising you’re not the only one.

I’ll be honest though. Nobody can do the work for you. You’ll be asked to take action between sessions, because that’s where confidence is built.

What is VIP Private Coaching?

VIP Private Coaching is one on one with me, and it’s built around you. Most programs run between three and six months, though other options are available if you need something different.

Because it’s tailored, the length, the number of sessions and the support between sessions all depend on where you are and what you want. We’ll dig into the stories holding you back, work out what you actually want, and build a plan you take action on.

I only work with a small number of private clients at a time, so spaces are limited. If you want someone in your corner who’ll back you and keep you honest, let’s chat.

Who is Kylie Kerr?

I’m an engineering leader turned confidence coach, change navigator and founder of The Big Girl Pants Movement.

I started my career as a fitter and turner apprentice at BHP, studying mechanical engineering, one of three women in a workshop of about 100. I then spent 25 years in local government, working my way up to leading the team that looks after every road in the shire.

I also have a full blown fear of heights, which the blokes at the blast furnace found hilarious. I climbed anyway, terrified. That became a pattern: do the hard thing, keep moving forward.

Eventually I walked away from a workplace that was wearing me down, with no clear plan. Working out who I was without the job was harder than leaving it. That’s what led me to coaching. I help women in midlife take bold action and build unshakeable confidence so they can create a next chapter that feels authentically theirs.

What is The Big Girl Pants Movement Confidence Model?

Most of us think we need confidence before we can take action. I believe it works the other way around. Confidence is the outcome, and the model shows how you get there:

The Stories: the thoughts running in your head.

The Feeling: the emotion those thoughts create.

The Hurdle in Tight Jeans: the action or decision you take despite the discomfort.

Landed It: the result.

Loosen the Top Button: the evidence that you can do hard things.

They Fit Now: confidence.

You don’t wait to feel ready. You take the action while your stomach is in knots, and confidence follows.

Do I need to feel confident before I start?

No, and I’d argue that waiting to feel confident is what keeps most women stuck.

Confidence is built through action, not waiting. What you need to start is courage, and courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s taking the next step while you’re still nervous about it. Every time you do, you collect a little more evidence that you can do hard things, and that’s where the confidence comes from.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to take the next step, even when you’re not 100% sure.
